School Improvement

Skyline Elementary has been identified to receive Targeted Support from the OSPI.  We will receive a OSSI School Improvement Grant of $35,000 to help us in implementing our school improvement goals.

Goal 1:  Skyline staff members will work to engage and communicate with all families throughout the 2022-23 school year, to ensure students feel a strong sense of Belonging, and believe they are a valued part of the Skyline Community.   Our school and district’s strong commitment to increasing positive connections with our local community will help to strengthen our Average Daily Attendance to increase from 88% to over 90%.

Goal 2:  During the 2022-23 school year, each grade level team will work to strengthen our implementation of the research-based American Reading Company Curriculum for 100% of students.  We will identify power standards for ALL students, and maintain a 70+ % conferencing rate according to our School Pace dashboard.  Students will grow on their personal pathway, and our goal is for every student to make at least one years’ growth, as measured in the SchoolPace dashboard.

Goal 3:  During the 2022-23 school year, Skyline Staff will strengthen our Tier 1 Mathematics Instruction by implementing the iReady Mathematics Curriculum for 100% of students, and continue to modify and grow our MTSS processes to ensure that students receive the supports that they need to make at least one year’s growth, as measured through the iReady diagnostic.
